The family of Aloha Commercial Pest Services has been active in Los Angeles’ pest-control industry for over 40 years. The Mukai family's start in the pest control industry began in 1970 when brothers Tomo and Zen Mukai purchased Tomic Insecticide Company (Tomic), a manufacturer, distributor and repair facility of insecticides, pest control products and equipment. Tomic supplied many of Los Angeles’ pest-control companies, including Aloha Termite & Pest Control (Aloha) and later provided pest-control services as TIC Pest Management Service (TIC, the first letters of the company name). Since Tomic and TIC did not provide termite services or fumigations, all customers with termite concerns were referred to Aloha. A long relationship began.
When the family owning Aloha decided it was time to sell the company, it was the Mukai family they approached. The Mukais purchased Aloha in 2005, running Aloha and TIC independently for a few years before merging both companies into one. The new name was Aloha Commercial Pest Services.
Here we are now. My name is Brad Mukai, son of Tomo. After over 20 years at Tomic, TIC and Aloha, I’ve stepped into my late father’s position as president. My wife, Stephanie, and I work with our dedicated and experienced staff every day towards upholding over 40 years of my family's tradition of outstanding service, great customer care and using only the best products.
